Sudden, Sharp Drop in WordAds CPM

    Hi there. Something’s happening with my blog, and I’m curious if there’s a reason, and whether it’s happening to anyone else.

    My CPM for WordAds has been steadily increasing since I started blogging in earnest in January. By the end of September and start of October, it was typically around $0.50-$0.60.

    Since early in October, my CPM has plunged, without any notable difference to my site. I’m still showing plenty of ads, but the CPM has dropped to around $0.10, something it’s not been at since about February. Sometimes, it shows $0.00 until a little later in the day, when the new amount is still very underwhelming.

    I seem to remember something similar happening in July-ish (to both myself and others), where it dropped suddenly for a few days and then shot back up. My stats even retroactively increased for the previous day, bringing earnings in-line with what I expected. As a result, I’m wondering if it’s a thing that happens when there’s a change in quarter, and it’ll fix itself.

    On the fifth day of this happening, however, I’m a little nervous.

    Same issue with me! My blog is smaller, and I was getting about 0.20 or 0.25 cpm up until the beginning of October. Now, it’s suddenly only 0.01 or 0.02 cpm with about 0.06 cpm one or two days. I also remember something like that happening this summer, and I was also wondering if it was just me.
