sudden spike in feed reader stats
-
Have other bloggers experienced a sudden spike in feed reader stats?
On one of my blogs mine soared from 72 – 213.
I’m not complaining at all, at all.
In fact, I’m thanking whichever beloved geek it was who unplugged the feeds.
Blessings on ya! -

No spike here, and I’ve been watching carefully. Strangely, my regular stats have spiked, but feed stats are flat. Guess there aren’t that many geeky people interested in Daniel Radcliffe.

Maybe you’ve got an admirer? ;)
You posted about little Dannie boy getting naked as well, rain? I was wondering if I would get any traffic on it. Technorati tagged the crap out of it as well. I was curious. :)

It’s a months-old post, from when the poster first came out. And naturally when it went nuclear yesterday I posted about that as well. Silly me didn’t tag it Daniel Radcliffe though, because I hate getting billions of tags I’ll never use again.

I just noticed that feed stats are frozen as well for me. Here is the Stats Are Frozen thread:

@dibnah
Click on “View your profile” on the very top right hand corner of this page. Then click on “edit this information” and make the change by changing the website url to http://welcometovoluntarysimplicity.wordpress.com/ and save it by clicking “Update Profile”. :) -

TT, all I can think is that your feed got featured on something like Digg but not your site itself, just the feed? What service does that, though?
Maybe it was a bunch of blog scrapers picking up on what you said? OR, there’s another possiblity: I noticed that your feed for the Americans Under Bush article was featured on the front page of several leftie magazine-type sites, and that could well be responsible for it. By today, that article would be off the front page.

I’d like you to recall which sites they were because I got no links from these folks who used my article on their front pages … grrrhhh! ….
Here’s the rollercoaster pattern of feed stats I’m seeing:
72- 248- 293 -102 -
Not as a main article: they have sidebar feed teasers, and your blog post showed up on those. Let me hit Technorati and will report back.

Technorati appears to be having a breakdown at the moment. Sorry, can’t help. Try Progressive Bloggers in Google?
