Sudden trouble inputting Japanese text

    Hello,

    I have been writing in both Japanese and English for a few years here without a problem. However while writing my latest post I’m having trouble with being able to input Japanese characters. It’s a bit hard to explain the problem, but I’ll do my best.

    I will write a paragraph in English. Then I will hit return in hopes of then writing the paragraph in Japanese, but when I switch my text to Japanese mode either nothing will happen at all when I type OR I will be able to type one character but no more.

    If I go up to the English paragraph I just typed above and try to continue in Japanese after the last English sentence (rather than hitting return and making a new paragraph), I have the same problem. However, if I go put the curser somewhere in the middle of my English paragraph I can type away in Japanese with no problem.

    I have no problems of course when only in English.

    Here is an example of what I’m talking about. In this example I had no problems with the first paragraph, but as you can see under the second paragraph just two Japanese words. Each time I hit return I can type one word, but no more. I can’t make a sentence.

    Anyone have a clue as to what could be happening…that is if you can even make sense of what I said…

    We’re not hearing this issue from other users at the moment.
    I did a test on my blog and it worked fine too.

    Could you try clearing your browser cookies & cache, and restart your computer?

    If that doesn’t help, please let us know:

    – Your OS (e.g. Windows, Mac)
    – Your browser and its version, if you know (e.g. Internet Explorer 7)
    – Your IME (input method editor), if you’re not using the OS default one
    – Does this happen on both Visual & HTML editor?

    Things were fine once I finally had a chance to use another computer…It must have been on my end.
