Suddenly cannot add media

AOL is a different version of IE, so they are both affected by the bug in question.
No notice was given because if staff knew it was going to happen, they’d have prevented it from happening.
All of those people are experiencing the same bug, for the same reason, as you are. Clearly.
If you leave WP, they don’t own your blog name. The URL, however, is not portable elsewhere.

Good Lord, are you talking to me? I have several word press blogs, most active ones are THE LETTER PROJECT http://theletterproject.wordpress.com/and THERESA WILLIAMS’S ZINES, COMICS, BOOKS, ART http://zinesandcomics.wordpress.com/

Thanks for providing the URLs of the affected blogs, like you’re supposed to when you have a technical question. I’m not psychic, you know.

Sorry, raincoaster. I was a little frustrated. I saw on another thread that people using browsers other than IE could post their media. I have been using IE 8. Lo and behold, It’s true that the problem does not exist on Google Chrome. I downloaded it and it worked fine.

Howdy,
We’re working an issue that developed that’s impacting folks using Internet Explorer 9.0. While we’re getting this fixed, would it be possible to either upgrade to IE 10 or to use Firefox or Chrome?
We’ll post an update at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/dashboard-issues-on-internet-explorer-9?replies=1
Thanks for your patience!

Glad you got it sorted. I get that it’s frustrating. We’re all a little fried: I’ve answered a couple of DOZEN threads on the issue in the last 24 hours.

Yes, raincoaster. We grow to depend so much on these things on our off time between obligations and when they don’t work we can just unravel. Thanks for understanding.

I am not computer savvy enough to know: by switching browers, what will that do to the rest of my computer and mail, sites, set up?
@newyorkcityinthewitofaneye: short answer: nothing. —> Switching browsers isn’t not the world’s end.
WP worked perfectly for over a year for me up until last night.
Yes, when the bug appeared.
You should try to fix —> http://browsehappy.com/ -

Howdy everyone,
Thanks for your patience. We’ve fixed up the issue, so while we encourage you to use Internet Explorer 10 (or later) or the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, or Safari, IE 9 works as expected again.Cheers!
