Suddenly drop in hits/visitors

    Tuesday, or perhaps late Monday, I discovered a huge drop of hits at my site, Hits Norge.
    It’s a small/medium site, with a few hundred hits daily.
    Common visitors/hits are normally 4- to 600. Tuesday it dropped to 240, Wednesday 120 – and today (Thursday) 70(!).
    I have emptied cache, disabled og re-enabled plugins. Rolled back and forward versions, even WP itself. No change or positive results.

    WP is running with Elementor with Elespare. Cloudflare as DNS. Optimizing plugins like Async JavaScript, Autoptimize, Super Cache and Lazy Load for Videoes.
    But disabling those, make no difference.

    I’m starting wondering this may have nothing to do with WP at all, that it may be a host issue?

    The hits counter are very important for the site, as it literally is a “hit” site.

    If anyone has any clue about what is going on, any tips are very much welcome.
