Suddenly email notices aren’t delivered

Up till yesterday (June 28th, 2007) I had been getting regular email notices on my blogs whenever anyone commented. Then suddenly it stopped and I haven’t changed a thing. I only found out I had comments when I looked at the front of my site. Did WordPress do something recently that could have caused this?

My blog is http://chaitimeblog.wordpress.com/ and I am using the theme: Thirteen by Beccary. I have already checked and my email addy is correct and everything is checked off to receive email alerts for comments.

What email service are you using?

Did you check the spam folder?

I am experiencing this problem as well, and I did check my Bulk Mail folder when I stopped receiving notices of new comments. There are no emails from WordPress in there. I too did not change anything. Is this a bug that has cropped up in the last few days? It started for me about midday Pacific yesterday (28 June).

I’m using Yahoo mail and I already checked my spam folder. It was full of caught spam, but not any email alerts. So…

I am still receiving mail from every other source, so I know my DSL and my yahoo mail is working just fine otherwise.

bluesleepy – It’s always best to answer every question asked.

Best bet would be to submit a feedback from your dashboard and make staff aware that you;re having an issue. You may want to include a link to those comments where you haven’t notices about.

I am having this problem as well for my two blogs …. not getting any e-mails notifications to comments made.

I’m having a similar problem – I’ve never had e-mail alerts from new postings and I need to set this up. Can anyone tell me how? Please?

Ahhh .. you mean you want to set up comment moderation. I’m sorry I didn’t I understand you on the first go around.

-> Dashboard -> Options -> Discussion

Complete the fields be very sure to check mark these boxes.

E-mail me whenever:
* Anyone posts a comment
* A comment is held for moderation

Click “Update Options” to save.

I’ve started having this problem too now. Since yesterday, I was getting e-mail notifications for any comment made on my blog http://ishmeet.wordpress.com/ , but today, I have not even received a single notification since the morning. I’m using GMail and have checked my Spam folder. I rechecked my ID and that seems to be fine too. So is it possible that this is some server maintenance issue or should I contact support when it opens on Monday?
