Suddenly unable to Edit Posts on my device, please help!

Dear WP Support team (or anyone that may be able to lend a hand!),
I’ve run into a debilitating issue that I, nor my teenage son, have been able to solve; whenever I attempt to “Edit” any of my posts, the page will either load into a blank, white screen, or it will refuse to load at all.
This unfortunate issue began a few months back in a random fashion, as I am unaware of any changes to my device, website, software, etc. that could have spurred the problem.
To clarify further, any of my posts, whether they are already published/posted or in a draft, are unable to be edited. Every other function seems to be working as it always has; whether it be previewing, checking stats, and so on, the problem only seems to occur when using the “Edit” feature.
This issue seems to be isolated to my device — it is a bit of an older version of iPad (purchased new in early 2010s), using Safari (the issue persists across attempts in Firefox as well), operating on iOS version 10.3.3 (most up-to-date version available). With this, I am sadly unable to download the WordPress app. I cross-verified my issue on my son’s new laptop, and the functionality seems to be good there. I understand that I could decide to operate via some other device, but I would sincerely prefer to continue using my own iPad, as it was functioning perfectly for my WordPress site for many months.
I had previously briefly reached out regarding this issue on my own back in June, to which I received some advice to clear the browser cache. I followed through with this advice recently, along with several other common possible causes, but unfortunately none have been successful yet. With my son’s recent assistance, I’m hoping that someone out there may be able to help out in some way.

Sorry to hear about the issues you’re having. Since you’re using an iPad that has an outdated version (along with a version of browser that’s also outdated), it makes it difficult for us to troubleshoot this further as issues that may be specific to very old software versions (in this case, both iOS and Safari versions) are unlikely to be solved.
We’d still like to help and see if the issue can be resolved.
Our first suggestion in cases like this is to clear the browser cache. I understand you’ve tried that already. Could you try it once again and log out and log back in after clearing the browser cache?
If that doesn’t help, can you try opening a new post screen (My Site → Posts → Add New Post) and see if that opens? Please note if it behaves similarly to how it does when you try to edit a post. I’d also suggest trying it out with a page (My Site → Pages → Add New Page) and see what happens.
If you’re still facing the same issues, please take a few screenshots and upload them to your media library at https://wordpress.com/media so that we can take a look at it. Your screenshots may include any time the new post/edit post screen fails to load, loads a white screen, or refuse to load at all.
Again, we might not be able to help much since the software is pretty old at this point, but we’ll try our best to see what we can do here.
