Suggested changes to the Widgets support page
-
1. The Removing Widgets section of the Widgets support page says:
If you would like to remove a widget from the sidebar, click the Delete link in the configuration options as show above.
Clearly the verb form “show” needs to be changed to “shown,” but I’m not sure that alone will fix the sentence. I’m no grammarian, but wouldn’t the statement then suggest that the image shows the Delete link being clicked? It’s not a GIF and there is no arrow pointing to the Delete link in the image. Also, “widget area” rather than “sidebar” would be a more generic term, one that doesn’t imply a certain location.
So I’d suggest changing the sentence instead to something like the following:
If you would like to remove a widget from a widget area, you may do so by clicking the Delete link that is found in the configuration options of each widget, as can be seen in the image directly above.
2. The Move a Widget section of the support page says:
It’s not possible to move widgets between widget areas (for example from the sidebar to the footer.)
This is true when managing widgets at Customize, but at the WP-Admin Widgets page, widgets can be freely dragged from one widget area and dropped into another. Perhaps there could be a separate section of the Widgets support page dealing with widget management in WP-Admin.
3. The Accessibility Mode section of the support page says:
If you need a more accessible way to add widgets, you can use WP Admin and toggle Screen Options to turn off the drag and drop feature.
I don’t know if a recent update has caused this information to be obsolete, but in the WP-Admin interface I find the “Enable accessibility mode” link present by default at the top right of the Widgets page. right beside the Help button. Screen Options isn’t even present on the page. Also, in the locations where Screen Options is present (post and page editors, for example), I find no “Enable accessibility mode” link.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Furthermore,
and toggle Screen Options to turn off the drag and drop feature.
What does this phrase mean? Even if Screen Options was present on the Widgets page, was there ever a time when the action of toggling the Screen Options tab would have turned the drag and drop feature on or off?
