Suggestion: Disable Ability To Edit Comments

  I don’t know why it’s possible in WordPress for blog authors to edit comments. Already two very demented bloggers have abused this, editing comments I made on their blogs to make it look like I wrote things I never wrote. (They changed my text because the comments I made apparently made them so angry.) I don’t mind the ability to filter comments (to delete whole comments), but blog authors should NOT be able to edit another person’s words.

  Then file a DMCA take down for violating your copyright of your words

  I like the ability to edit the comments, it is an absolute requirement in my opinion, it lets me take out personal info and other things like extra links and still let the comment be posted instead of deleted.

  However I don’t ever change the meaning of the comment, if the comment is that bad I just delete it
