Suggestion: Explain on My Profile page that @UserName shows public profile

  • Unknown's avatar

I searched far and wide to see how my WordPress.com profile looked to others, i.e., my public profile.

I found a post on this forum from 2007 that indicated public profiles could be found at https://wordpress.com/profile/UserName/, but, alas, that is not longer the case.

Public profiles are now found at http://en.gravatar.com/UserName, and the @UserName link under your picture (Gravatar) on your My Profile page links to http://en.gravatar.com/UserName.

I noticed the @markworthen on my My Profile page, but I thought it was my Twitter handle. I suspect others would think the same.

Therefore, may I humbly suggest that WordPress.com add an explanatory note beneath @UserName, e.g., “(this links to your public profile page)”.

    Thank you,

    Mark
