Suggestion for a widget

  I´mparticipating in blogging 101 and was directed by Michelle W here with a wish I have. I have a lot of widgets on my page and I have in the past used the gallery widget to showcase more pictures like the one on the viewed page. But I disabled them as I thought the page became image overloaded and the main picture became flooded by secondary images. But I would like to be able to show the posting for the image in the gallery widget and not the attachment page.
  And I would like a widget that could show a random example of postings within the same category or with the same tag.
  Is this possible?
