Suggestion for Contact Form enhancement
-
I recently saw a contact form feature an ASP developer put together you might be interested in replicating. He has indexed a number of names and email addresses and uses a link with one of the indexes to go to a contact form that is individulized to go to the indexed name/email address. Basically, a hyperlink to mailform.asp?id=8 will bring up a generic contact form that is emailed to contact number 8.
It seems like this would be something very useful that you could fairly easily add to your Contact Form, especially for the case where there might be several possible contacts on a Contact Us page/post.
Your Add a Contact Form button could bring up an interface with an option to create a hyperlink by selecting an email address and a specific generic form (Contact Us, Register, etc.) instead of simply dropping the contact form into the page/post as is now done.
The hyperlink would open the contact form in a separate page, or maybe as a pop-up, with the form specifically directed to the intended email address.
Even slicker would be the option in the hyperlink setup to select the intended target from an editable list of names with associated email addresses. The generic form could be then individualized with the recipients name instead of just an email address (a comfort for the eventual user).
