Suggestion for Gutenberg Column Block

    In the Column Block,

    1) can the block include having Colour (both background and text) added?

    2) Or, at the very least, be allowed to add colour to the first row of the table to allow the “header row” to be highlighted in some way?

    3) Would also like to center the text in the first column (header row) or in any column for that matter.

    4) When adding a row or column, could it be possible to enter the number of rows/columns to add instead of adding them one by one? I know when the table is being designed, we can add rows and columns but once that set up is done, there is no place to allow for entering a number for adding additional rows/columns.

    That block does not have a whole bunch of formatting options yet, no. It’s a first version, and a lesser-used block, so it’s not very high on the priority list over at WordPress.org where the block editor was made. These things you mentioned are on the list of improvements, but I cannot tell you when they might be added.

    As you’re on our Business Plan you might be able to add those options using a plugin, though. I did some searching and found this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-gutenberg/ that adds an Advanced Table block (among others) to the editor, that looks like it supports most of the things you’re looking for.     The plugin is free, but it looks like the free version doesn’t include support except for the WordPress.org forums, and we’ll only be able to provide limited help with that plugin as it’s not one of our products, but it is an option you can consider.
