Suggestion for new feature

Well, there doesn’t seem to be any way for “unpaid members” to contact WordPress directly, so here goes.

I tried the new editor and quickly reverted back to the old style. Much easier to use, IMHO. However, it then occurred to me that a “table of contents” feature would be useful for some types of blogs. Right now we have the search box and the archives, but if a user doesn’t know what’s there, he or she can easily miss a useful post by just not knowing exactly what to search for, and nowadays not too many people will want to look through a long archive list.

The “table of contents” could be as simple as a “page” that lists the posts in chronological order (or alphabetical, or some other way) by name, with links to each. That way somebody can go right down the list and say, that’s exactly what I’m looking for.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

The “table of contents” could be as simple as a “page” that lists the posts in chronological order (or alphabetical, or some other way) by name, with links to each.

This is easily accomplished by inserting display posts shortcode into a static page. It can also be inserted into a post, a portfolio project, a text widget — any WordPress.com content type. See the Display Posts Shortcode support page. Its Arguments section includes numerous customization options, with descriptions and examples.

Thank you. That worked out really well and it’s already up.
