Suggestion for staff.

Agreed. Have you considered making your own private blog where posts are snippets (frequently used replies) and there’s a search field in the sidebar for you? The P2 theme would be great for that, easy to add to with the up-front post box.
yes I have some of the snippets on an old test blog – is public but the search engines are turned off – not P2 – but P2 might work a bit better – it is past time to clean up and add some new links and snipets – just been too lazy to update things

I also consider this to be somewhat like an emergency room in a hospital so I locate threads where Staff help is need and tag them.
And I have many appreciative non-creepy hugs for folks who do that, thank you!

Snippets: By the way, Evernote (NAYY) is a godsend in that regard. You can create notebooks, tag and search to your heart’s content. I have quite a collection of some of the more interesting (kof) informative forum threads linked there. ;-)
-
I agree about evernote. :)
What I want now is for this forum to stop loading like a pig in quicksand. It’s driving me crazy. I tired of logging out and clearing my browser cache and cookies and logging in over and over again.
-
Did you get bumped to Firefox 21? It’s been sluggish on a bunch of sites for me, making me want to stick with Chrome full-time.
-
Yes I am using Firefox 21 with next no addons. I will disable AdBlock Plus. I don’t like Chrome at all. I have never liked it.
-
-
Thanks for confirming but I only use Chrome if I absolutely have to in order to help bloggers here with their questions. I don’t dislike it as much as I dislike IE but it comes a close second from the bottom of browsers as far as I am concerned. lol :D
-
Hi Timethief, What browser do you recommend? A friend likes Opera which seems clear and clean but a bit too much so, but then is there anything it doesn’t do?

I can’t possibly be the only volunteer who keeps enough tabs open that clicking back and forth between them isn’t easy? I’m not lying when I say I routinely have 25-40 tabs. And I’m really not willing to learn Evernote or some other program just to deal with a problem that could be dealt with by having two links on the front page. Put them in the footer if you want. I just want them on the front page.
-
I have at least a dozen tabs open at almost any point in time.
Links in the footer or in a sticky post will not change anything IMHO. -
Again…they won’t change the OP’s behaviour. They simply make it easier for us to copy past the appropriate links.
-
Oh! I’m sorry that I missed what you meant.
(I don’t need them as I have a private blog with 377 copy and paste answers in it. )
