Suggestion for Themes with a front page image slider (Ref: Untitled Theme)

Any posts images displaying in the Front Page slider ONLY display in the slider and are hidden in the main feed.
(meaning the post right under it may be my latest post at the top is from a month ago, and any other “featured” tagged posts are hidden.)
This is annoying for a couple of reasons:
1. If you want to highlight a recent post by featuring it in the front page slider, as it hides it in the main feed it looks like the latest post may be from a while ago.
2. If there are multiple ‘featured’ posts it’s forcing any user to use a different system of navigation just to view featured posts. (instead of merely highlighting.)
3. With reference to ‘Sticky’ posts: Sticky just pushes the post to the top, it doesn’t change how the user navigates through the blog/site so that at least makes sense for a user.

(sorry don’t know how to edit > i don’t need help – this was an attempt at a suggestion to allow the front page slider not the hide posts from the feed. Just feature them )

I agree that what you suggest. It would render the use of “featured posts” to showcase evergreen content and have the URLs appear in the RSS Feed. There are several ways of showcasing evergreen content ie. older posts with content of timeless value to readers I know of and have blogged about but none would be as effective as what you suggest.
