Suggestion – Option to TOTALLY disable Comments
-
If you purchased the css customization upgrade then you are aware there is no staff support for learning css. And you are aware that the upgrade is not recommended to bloggers who do not have css editing experience. From time to time professionals who do have css skills drop in and give bloggers a hand with css editing. The threads posted to the css customization forum usually draw their attention to posts such as yours. At the head of the css forum you will also find sticky posts containing useful resources. Here’s the link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum.php?id=3&page
Best wishes and happy blogging. -

i have done this on a few sites now, its quite straightforward. you just need to remove or ‘comment out’ the references to the comment metadata in the php template files within your theme. e.g. archive.php, index.php, single.php

is a testing site that is totally comment free. because the metadata has been removed there is no need to disable comments for each post as the links simply aren’t there to leave them.

You cannot edit the php template files at WordPress.com. Please familiarize yourself with the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org by reading the sticky threads at the top of the forum before posting answers here which do not apply.
