  Basic question I feel silly for asking, but how do I change the color of the font in my nav bar from white to black?

  Hi, there, there is a current menu item color you can set with this

  .nav-menu .current_page_item > a, .nav-menu .current_page_ancestor > a, .nav-menu .current-menu-item > a, .nav-menu .current-menu-ancestor > a {
      color: #cc0000;
  }

  and then the base color of the menu items (not current item) you can set with this.

  .nav-menu li a {
      color: #6d6d6d;
  }

  Are you wanting to make the menu bar dark with white letters?

  No, I want to make the menu bar gold with black font.
