Suits Theme: Header Image too Small

  First time designer so thanks in advance for your help. When I upload an image to use as the background to the header, it does not fill the header. I figure the header height is 250 pixels. So I have created an image that is 1255px by 255px. This larger than wordpress’ recommendation of 960 pixels but it seems like wordpress wants to compress the image back to 960 pixels. How can I make it fill at least the height so all the title and subtitle text is covered. I’ve uploaded the image file in .png
