  Are you able to create your home page with one post and at the bottom of the page have excerpts of your previous posts on wordpress.com? I have read how to do it on wordpress.org but not on wordpress.com.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Do you mean you want to show one full post and have the rest shortened?

  If so, you can edit your older posts and use the “More” tag.

  You can also use one of the themes that does this automatically, like Hemingway.
