summarize homepage format

  summarize home page format
  i have selected this option in the customize settings, however the entirely of my post still remains on the main page.
  how to i get it to just show the first few lines?

  Hi there, there isn’t a setting to have only post excerpts displayed on the front page, but you can add the More tag to each post if you’d like this effect. Learn more about the The More Tag.

  Alternatively, you could opt for another theme, which is designed to display post excerpts on the homepage instead of full posts, like Oxygen or Ascetica. If you’d like a list of all the themes which display only excerpts on the front page, just let me know and I’ll be glad to send it along by email.

  This would be a nice option, especially to apply to all posts. I have the same desire – I find people view my home page and read the latest posts in full and then can leave. But only have a sample of the post on the home page, visitors would have to click on the post to read more and stay longer, perhaps reading more posts.

  Thanks, that’s a shame. I consider it a pretty important option. Would you send similar themes to the Chateau Theme that allow excerpts?
