Summary / excerpt being added automatically to my posts

  I’ve created a few test posts as I learn to use the site. My posts have the format:

  ‘Introductory words for picture 1 …’

  Image for Picture 1

  ‘introductory words for picture 2….’

  Image for Picture 2

  ‘introductory words for picture 3 …’

  Image for Picture 3

  etc

  But when I publish and view the post, at the top of the post I see ‘Introductory words for picture 1 …’ ‘Introductory words for picture 2 …’ ‘Introductory words for picture 3 …’

  ‘Introductory words for picture 1 …’

  Image for Picture 1

  etc. So my full post is presented, but the text of the post is ‘doubled up’ at the start. I can’t seem to find a way to disable this behavior. Thanks for any help!

  i see now that the theme I chose included an excerpt block in the template. I didn’t catch that in the samples.
