Summary on home page

  As far as I can tell, the home page of my blog shows my posts in full. Is there any way to just display a summay of each post on the front page, which then needs to be followed to a seperate page for each blog entry?

  I’ve had a look through the settings but I can’t find a way to do it.
  FWIW I’m using the Black Letterhead theme.
