Can I convert my .com over to .org so I can take advantage of sumome? or is there something I can do in .com to help convert visitors to my site to sign up? I have the follow me button but I’d like a pop up

You are confusing blogs hosted by WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG software installs. We cannot install pop-ups for subscriptions on WordPress.COM hosted blogs. Thank goodness! I refuse to subscribe to any site wherein the blogger has the audacity to install a pop-up in your face subscription form that appears even before we have read a single post.
For a contact form on a WordPress.COM blog see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
You can set up email subscriptions here > Appearance > Widgets > Follow Blog Widgets by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
If you would like a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts go to > Settings > Reading and scroll down to Follower Settings:
These settings change emails sent from your blog to followers.
Logged out users __ Show follow button to logged out users.Checking this will present a follow button to logged out users in the bottom corner of their screen.
We have a subscription shortcode which you can make use of. The help page on it is right here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-subscription-shortcode/ You can also include the subscription shortcode at the end of every post you publish.
To enable social networking sharing buttons below your post see
http://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=sharing+buttons
results here http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/See also http://en.support.wordpress.com/follow-button/
You can also use Find Friends Who Use WordPress > http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/05/01/find-friends/
Also note that if you want to use MailChimp with your WordPress.com site right now you can do so by creating a link to the signup form on MailChimp and providing it to your visitors. Here’s the info from MailChimp Support http://kb.mailchimp.com/article/how-to-add-a-mailchimp-signup-form-to-your-wordpress-blog

On WordPress.com not (you can’t use/install plugins), but on WordPress.org probably yes.
