Superhero Theme

  Hi,

  I recently started using WordPress and still busy learning the ropes. My website is far from finished and my intention is to create a business website for my father’s construction company.

  I like the look of Superhero (demo here https://superherodemo.wordpress.com/), but I am struggling to replicate it. In particular I like the large page-wide image on the home page with the sidebar presented below – which is one area I would like assistance with.

  Another issue is that I would like to create text content for each page without it looking like a blog post (I don’t want the date and other info to be displayed, or for the text to be boxed in).

  I would greatly appreciate some guidance on these two issues

  For creating text content without it looking like a blog post, you may want to use pages. Here’s more info about those: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
