superscript not working

  I have footnotes in my blog post. I added superscripted numbers following the directions to place ^and in text mode. When I published the post, the numbers are small but they are not raised like they should be. How can I correct this problem?

  I have followed the directions exactly. The numbers I superscripted are small, but not raised. I went back to the WordPress manual “Styling Individual Posts and Pages” to see if I was missing a step, but my formatting looks identical to their example, except it doesn’t seem to be working on my post.

  Hi there,

  Can you try this instead of :

  <span style="font-size:50%;vertical-align:super;">TEXT HERE</span>

  The sup works differently by theme, and the code above will work with your theme to add a superscript.
