Hello I have bought a theme and have a url and web hosting. How should i go about editing my theme and publishing?
Do I do it through wordpress.org as when I try through wordpress,com it makes me pay for a business plan

Hi there, only sites with the WordPress.com Business Plan are able to upload custom themes: https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/
Other sites can select themes from the WordPress.com theme directory: https://wordpress.com/themes/
If you let us know what kind of theme you’re looking for, we may be able to give some suggestions for WordPress.com.
However, it seems you’re considering using self-hosted WordPress. Over there, the vast majority of hosting providers don’t make you pay for installing custom themes. You can view a difference between the two here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As for web hosting, WordPress.com is the host. If you use any plan on WordPress.com, including the Free Plan, you don’t need to purchase any additional web hosting. You can also transfer a domain to WordPress.com: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

You can’t make a website through WordPress.org. WordPress.org is the site where the WordPress community maintains and support the software. It is not a hosting platform like WordPress.com.
To use your theme on WordPress.com you’ll need the Business Plan, or if you already have hosting with another provider, as it appears you do, you can install the WordPress software found on WordPress.org with that provider instead. For the best process of doing that, please contact support at your hosting provider directly.
