Support for Embedded Tableau Visualisations
-
We would really like to embed Tableau visualisations in our blog posts; currently we have to use a static image which links to Tableau’s site, e.g. the “BSIMM4 Assessment for Sample Firm” image at the bottom of http://franklinheath.co.uk/2013/04/10/visualising-a-software-security-initiative/ or host the post on another blog provider, e.g. http://franklinheath.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/choosing-open-university-module.html (which we link to from http://franklinheath.co.uk/2012/12/08/the-method-behind-the-madness/ ). In both cases the essential feature is that mouse-overs pop up details on the data points.
I understand that you don’t allow arbitrary JavaScript for security reasons (I am a security professional, after all :-)) but is there a way you could support this by having a template for the specific JavaScript that Tableau uses, similar to the way you handle embedded YouTube videos?
Thanks!

Hi Craig – Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll add this to our list of ideas for possible future additions. :)
