Support for Topsy retweet button?
-
Topsy came to my attention when it showed up in my spam queue. (Aside: I’m still undecided about whether I want to release the topsy ‘comments’ as whatever linkage currency they may provide, they are not directly valuable to my readers…) Anyhow: I would like to be able to add a topsy retweet button to my blog, to accompany my twitter button, but best as I can figure, I can’t. You can do it on wordpress.org, I think, but not here. Or did I miss something?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there:
We can’t’ use this code on wordpress.com blogs because it’s a restricted code – javascript. Take a look at the code and support documentation you will see what I mean.
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://cdn.topsy.com/topsy.js?init=topsyWidgetCreator"></script>

Unless a shortcode is developed for Topsy retweets this is a no go. -
The Topsy documentation and the wordpress.org documentation didn’t look promising, I must say…! Just wanted to double check. tx, H

HI
Is there anything similar to allow articles/posts to be retweeted directly from a wordpress.com blog?
Thanks

I would suggest sending a request to feedback<aaat>topsy<dawwwt>com (pardon the lame obfuscation but I don’t want cause spam). They are usually pretty good with such requests. Can’t promise anything but it can’t hurt to ask… especially if you’re not the only one.
Disclaimer: I used to work there.
