Support for XPS uploads
-
XPS is the portable document format from Microsoft, which is supported natively in Office 2007 and later, and provides better “true-to-original” renderings than the in-box/free PDF converter in Office. I hereby request that the XPS document format be supported on WordPress in the same fashion as PDF – file size is comparable, purpose is identical, and the format will be increasingly prevalent over time.
Cheers!

Just my 2 cents and something for you to think about…
If I wanted to download a file from your blog, I’d have a hard time opening it. I don’t have access to Office, I don’t want to run Windows just to have access to Office, and I really don’t want to pay the exorbitant amount of money MS wants for Office. If you want to be friendly to your readers, upload in .doc (if Office 2007 even saves as .doc anymore) or .pdf. I can open .doc in OpenOffice and just about anybody can open .pdf files.

I’m using open office as well and unless MS has a free viewer, I wouldn’t bother downloading any XPS files either.

It wouldn’t be a good idea because some people don’t have Office 2007.
Anyways isn’t .pdf enough?
