Hi there,
Before I recover this account I would like to check that it is still an active wordpress account even though it has not been linked to our domain. I would like to check that if I recover it and it gets back to the domain, the original info and content will still be there.
I have a bit of a conundrum. This website is a university society account. We recently expired our domain and had to renew our lease however in that time we lost the main site of the website.
Because of changing executives i have no idea what the password is (information lost in the transfer!) and have no idea what email was used to set up the account, I only know the username and an invalid password and what the old website used to be called. If you are able to provide me with what the email associated with this username (unsoc) is, then I can probably log into that email and access a ‘change password’ site.
Otherwise I would really appreciate your help in what I need to recover this account though i feel the above option would be easiest.

I dont even know if I have a paid upgrade, the website was paid at a godaddy domain and then linked with this wordpress I have no idea if that means that blog was a “paid upgrade”

It would help folks to help you if you posted the URL’s and domain names involved – then maybe someone in the forum can help you before the staff check this thread – it will also help the staff give you accurate help the first time – – a long rambling post with no specifics means that nobody including the staff can help you without more info
You might not be in the correct forum, but the site names and URL’s are needed to give you accurate help

I’m just going to wait for a staff member to contact me privately and help me solve the issue, it’s what they are paid for.
I don’t want to waste people’s times posting in public forums because I doubt you can help me look up what email is attached to my private account….
I know you guys are trying to help and that’s the nature of this forum and I’m very grateful, but it’s not really helping. Thank you though.
