Support Response

I tried to create a second blog (using a new ID and password) and have waited 4 days for the “confirmation” email. Still nothing.

I have sent 4 or 5 emails over the last for days to 24/7 Support (giving 4 emails that they could respond to) but they have yet to respond to ANY email at ANY address.

Does anyone know how to get them to respond?

The issue is that my ID for the new blog was accepted but the e-mail address wasn’t. Even trying to change the e-mail address in the given “change email” field wasn’t accepted.

Without that confirmation, I can’t proceed. Any suggestions?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have you checked your spam folders for any of the emails? Sometimes mail gets smooshed in there without us knowing.

Indeed I did, for all 4 accounts, 3 times per day.

I suggest contacting support and providing them with as much details as possibles http://support.wordpress.com/contact/

I HAVE contacted them – 4 or 5 times over the last 4 days. I left 4 different e-mail addresses in 3 of those e-mails, but have not received ANY response to any e-mail or address. And yes, I have checked all folders for potential misdirected posts.

Being the weekend, it might be Monday before you get an answer, but I’ll tag this thread so that staff sees it and hopefully someone will get back to you.

Thanks ever so much. I must say it has been a little baffling why there has been no response.

    Again, thanks.

Everyone at Automattic/WordPress wears multiple hats, and it just depends on what secret sauce they are brewing up, and also how many support requests they have gotten, and how many are sitting in the queue. They answer them as quickly as they can.

The other thing that could have happened is a typo when you put in the email address. If there was a typo, then the email would have been returned as undeliverable.

I did not know that these people have multiple functions/roles. While I do understand that I may be down the queue somewhere, there was no “typo” as the form CLEARLY (including yellow highlighting) displays the e-mail address used.

Even in the “Update e-mail” field, bounded by blue and containing a large display of the e-mail (around 60 points), it’s clear my e-mail is correct.

When I tried to enter a different e-mail, I received a message saying “this e-mail address has already been used” when I have never used it. I tried 2 options and even the e-mail I used on my original blog registration. All to no avail.

Above the “Update e-mail” section is an opportunity (and link) to “contact Support” for them to re-send the confirmation. Five requests have garnered no results.

I guess patience is required, but nearing one week is quite a long time to receive a confirmation e-mail, IMHO.

    Have done so, 5 times.

    Thanks again.

I’ve sent one more, via your link (which has been the same link I’ve used previously).

    Cross your fingers.

Ross, I see that we have sent you 5 email responses over the last few days. Have you not got any of them?
