Support site can`t be reached, help button disspears

Hello everyone,
i tried for a couple of hours to find info about how to enable friends to see my blog since i use the privacy setting.
I cant find it, its frustrating.
I find links to a support-page of wordpress but that page wont load, i cant see it.
And strange but the help-button shows a couple of helppages but every time i try to use it, the categories disappear before i can click on it.Can ayone help me out ?

Problem is that i cannot reach the supportpages. Every time i click on a link to a supportpage or when i type the adress it doesnt load that page.
I have no idea what the problem is. -

Thank you so much for your extensive answer, it really helped me.
I tried refreshing the page, I cleared my history, checked my version from explorer, checked my flash which was up to date.
Nothing worked but then I installed another browser, Google Chrome, and now I can reach the support site! I have to refresh the page before it can load but now I do have access to the support pages.

On IE8, you might try again and when on a page with the help button, set compatibility view to on.

I tried that but it doesnt work.
The button disappeared so I added the adress in compatibility view settings in the toolsmenu but nothing changed. I cant reach the supportpages and the help button keeps disappearing.
Now I use Google Chrome and with that browser I can reach the supportpages and the helpbutton works too.
