Hello,
I am very new to building websites and started on your platform last night. I bought my domain hoptonphotography.com through your registrar. I then was confused by how to work with wordpress.com and decided to cancel the plan and get the refund. I also canceled the Domain name hoptonphotography.com through your website not knowing I could still own it and plug it into another website builder. Again very new to how this works. SO now I am wondering if I can buy the domain name back “hoptonphotography.com” from you so I can still use that for my website. Can you help me with that? I do not need another link to a forum or your link about deleting domain names from your website. Thank you for your assistance. – Jonah Hopton

Hi Jonah,
We can still restore the domain to your account, but as you’ve already been refunded for the original purchase I’ll first need to send you a link to pay for the domain again.
Once the domain is restored, we can help you point it to the hosting provider where you want to use it, but you will only be able to transfer the domain away from us completely once you’ve owned it for at least 60 days.
Alternatively, as you cancelled the domain within 48 hours of registering it, it should be released again within a few days, and you should be able to register it directly at the provider where you want to use it by the weekend. So if you’re willing to wait, this is the simpler option.
Please let me know which option you’d prefer in this case.
