Supress posts for a quicker view

Hi my name is Bhargav and my wordpress id is bhargav99.wordpress.com.
In my blog I have created several categories under which I have my posts, is there anyway to compress the posts in each category so that visitors can only look at the post heading and not the entire post and click on the post only if they like the heading?
This way it helps the my blog visitors to look at all the posts quickly and save time.
I would appreciate your help.

The way the entries (posts) are displayed in the Archives and Categories is the way the theme is coded to display them. We cannot edit our underlying templates in wordpress.com blogs. http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/
