Suspending blog

  Hi,

  I would like to suspend (i.e., make inaccessible) all of my blog’s content while I apply for a politically sensitive visa, but I don’t want to delete the content and would like to be able to republish the material when I finish the application.

  Any ideas?

  See option 3 here to change your blog visibility setting to private > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  NOTE: Changing blog visibility to “private”, deleting blogs and/or blog content does not remove any indexed items from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. The URL removal tool cannot be used in cases like this. The URL removal tool is intended for pages that urgently need to be removed—for example, if they contain confidential data that was accidentally exposed. Using the tool for other purposes may cause problems for your site.
