suspicious email after moving site

  I moved the registration and hosting of one of my blogs. Soon after I received an email from (email visible only to moderators and staff), asking me to click a button to verify my email address. The email was signed with the name WordPress and indicated that WordPress might have to shut down my site temporarily if I didn’t verify. Has anyone ever experienced this?
