Suspicious sites linking in to my WordPress
-
I set up my WordPress blog a couple of weeks ago and paid for my own domain (www.stewartinnes.com).
I understand that backlinks are a good thing but I have made no attempt to make any – yet.
Then I suddenly notice on Alexa that I have 80+ backlinks that I did not ask for.
I checked some and they seem to be strangely written (scraped/open source/auto content or something like that).
Below are some examples for you to check:
idesignmag.com
quickstepthailand.com
querinrecords.comIf these are of suspect quality, is this linking with them affecting my standing with Google search?
I would like to keep them if they help, but I understand WordPress has deleted accounts for suspicious linking.
Do I need to remove the links?
Best,
Stewart

Those are spam blogs who have probably stolen your posts and linked to you in hopes you’re fooled into thinking this is a good thing. I suggest you take action. http://manolofood.com/whine-journalism-and-how-to-bring-the-splashback/
