Swell Portfolio images have black strip at right

    Could you have a look at why my portfolio images are displaying as if they are left adjusted?

    IS there any way to change the aspect ratio of the image?

    Are you talking about on your main page, or on the individual project pages, such as test 9? I’m not seeing any black strip on the right in either location. Where are you seeing that? On phone, tablet, laptop?

    Aspect ratio where? On the main page, or on the individual project pages?

    Thanks for your reply – the black line resolved itself!

    The aspect ratio query is to make my portfolio posts in the project area (9 images in 3 columns) look good, as the way they’ve been cropped isn’t quite right.

    Is there a recommended height and width for those images that I could resize my images to using Photoshop?

    If you go to the Swell Theme Showcase page and scroll down near the bottom, under Quick Specs, it says featured images will be 413 by 232 for projects (that’s on the portfolio section on the main page). Given that image also shows when you go to the single project pages, I would suggest that the important thing is to make the images in the same proportions of width to height, so there is minimal cropping on the main page, which is about 1.8 to 1 (width to height). Then also keep in mind that for the single portfolio pages, the featured image will be used at the top and will be cropped from the center, so keep the most important bits in the images vertically centered.

    That’s incredible, thank you so much.

    The black line to the right I referred to in the original query was viewing on my MacBook, it doesn’t appear on PC desktop or windows phone. very odd.

    I will adjust the images as you suggested.

    Thanks, Kara. On my Macbook, I am not seeing any black line when I view your site on Safari, Chrome or Firefox on my MacBook Pro. Can you take a screenshot and upload it to a file sharing service, or to your Media Library and post a link to it?
