SWELL theme – How do I float a logo over a banner?
-
Hello,
On the Swell demo page header https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/swell/ , there is a logo floating over the moving banner. I’ve bought the template and can amend the text, but not upload a logo to sit above it. The only logo option offered in the customisation menus is to add the logo to the top left of the page.
How can I float the logo over the banner instead?
Thanks so much,

Hi Charis!
I believe the easiest way to get this done is to actually enter the image HTML into the Banner Content shown here:
Can you give that a try? It may help to first create a new post and insert your logo into the post. Then, while you’re in the post, you can click over to the Text Editor for that post. That will allow you to grab the HTML code for that image. If you paste that code in the Banner text slot, it should appear on your site!

Oh my goodness- you are actually a genius.
That worked absolutely as you described. Thank you, much happiness here! -

Actually – one more thing (last one promise!!) Is it possible to embed live videos in the portfolio thumbnails on the home page, so that users don’t have to click through to a separate page to play the video?

That isn’t possible as of right now! It will display the featured image (which can only be an image or gif).
