SWELL Theme – migration to WordPress.org

  I have just bought the Swell theme but I realized I need to migrate to WordPress.org!
  How can I have access to the the files?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You should be able to download the theme in a zip format to your computer then upload it to your new host.

  Hi there- WordPressdotcom Premium themes are licensed for the life of your site on WordPressdotcom. https://en.support.wordpress.com/premium-themes/

  If you are within the 30-day refund window, you can request a refund for your purchase in your Account’s My Purchases dashboard.

  For the ORG version of Swell, you’ll need to contact and purchase from the theme authors, ThemeTrust. There’s a link on the Swell showcase page.

  Really? Once you purchase the theme on WordPress.com, you can’t use it on a self-hosted site? Wow.

  @trulyboring – And probably preferable since all the themes (free and premium) on WordPressdotcom are customized to suit our specific environment. That’s also the reason you can’t upload custom themes purchased elsewhere to use on a WordPressdotcom site. https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/
