SWF Flash in Post how to

  Hey folks, I’ve recently switched from hosting my own site to using wordpress.com. So far I am not at all impressed. It seems extremely limited in functionality.

  I’ve spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out how to upload and put a flash banner in my post. How can I do this? Thanks.

  That seems pretty silly. Especially considering Google and Youtube SWF can be used. There are plugins, which you can be used to convert any SWF to wordpress short code.

  I guess the biggest frustration I have is that I am not permitted to install my own plugins. This seems like a huge limitation and a major step back from my installation on godaddy.

  I can understand wanting the site to be secure, but since 95% of sites on the internet use javascript I find this to be a bit dated. Many things can be done to protect against hackers.

  I figured out a workaround. I just converted the swf to an animated gif.
