Switch accounts?

I recently was invited to contribute to a blog at my workplace. When accepting the invitation, I was logged in as an account (lets call it A) I use for hosting a blog for a community totally unrelated to my job, which I don’t (nor shouldn’t) use for job blogging.

I have another personal account (B) that I thought I would be logged in to (as it was the affiliated e-mail address I was invited to, not the other one). I really need to get permission to edit from B, not A – or maybe a new account. How do I do that?

  • Hi there. The owner/admin of the blog will have to invite account B as a user to the blog and remove account A. There is no way for you to do it yourself as only blog admins can add users.

To avoid confusion, have them invite you via your username, not your email address, and make sure you’re logged in under the right account when accepting the invitation.
