Switch expired domain from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

  Hi there

  I am upgrading from wordpress.com to wordpress.org . The domain we are using for the wordpress.com site has expired and I have now registered it with BlueHost for the new site.

  I have set up the wordpress.org site at http://69.195.124.160/~abingdp3/correct/ for now, and the old site is currently using http://abingdonhockey.wordpress.com/ (abingdonhockey.org.uk also redirects here).

  How can I stop the domain from redirecting to the wordpress.com site, and assign it the wordpress.org one instead? I.e., when you type abingdonhockey.org.uk into the address bar, I want that to show the content currently at http://69.195.124.160/~abingdp3/correct/, rather than the content at http://abingdonhockey.wordpress.com/ .

  Thanks for your help and hope that makes sense (please let me know if I need to contact wordpress.org or Bluehost instead…)

  You need to change your nameservers to point to your new webhost. They are still pointing to WordPress.com:

  http://who.is/whois/abingdonhockey.org.uk

  You would do this through your account at your domain registrar.
