Switch Post type or remove sidebar on a single page

  The sidebar causes my content to format in a weird way… So I would like to remove the sidebar on this particular blog post OR change the post type into a normal page. Unfortunately I don’t know how to do either of these things. (I tested the plugin post type switcher but it seems to be outdated or something)
