Switch site from blog only to full website
-
I have a custom subdomain, blog.tonylinde.com, which points to blog here and the main domain points elsewhere. I want to switch so that the main domain points to a ‘home’ page here while the subdomain points only to my blog posts. I started to create the home page but it looked like it’d get an address of blog.tonylinde.com/home. Do I need to change the whole site over to paid-for and remap the top domain before starting to switch stuff over? And if I get the top domain with the paid-for subscription, do I still need to pay for the subdomain?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We do not allow mapping to subdirectories such as yourgroovydomain.com/blog: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-subdomain/#not-supported
So, either the main or subdomain can be used for your entire website. They cannot both be used for different sections of your site.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
