Hi cpkochjr
To switch to a classic old editor you just need to follow few steps.
1. When you click on add new post the editor will be opened
2. Click on the three dots on the top right corner of the screen
3. Select switch to classic editor option. Here is the screenshot of the menu that opens when a user clicks on three dots options you will be able to see the switch to classic editor option at the last:

Let me know if you need any help.
Hope this helps.

The “switch to classic editor” option isn’t there. There’s nothing below the “options” button.

The instructions provided work with most but not all themes for sites hosted at WordPress.com. What is the address of the site you’re working on, what theme are you using and is the site definitely hosted here at WordPress.com.
