Switch to Duotone
-
I made a switch to Duotone and noticed that all the widgets I had set up in my original theme did not transfer. Do I have to start over. Additionally how many widgets can the theme hold on its pages. And finally, can you only post one image at a time? I switched back to my other theme until I get a reply.
If only one photo the developer ought to come out with “Tritone” so it can support multiple images. And it would be nice to have the navigation arrows permanently in the top band. Just a thought there.
Thans for the help, Bob

The blog linked to your username is not a wordpress.com blog. If that’s not the blog your mean then please post the complete and clickable URL for the blog to which you are referring, starting with http://

You can post only one full-size image per post; the rest have to be in a Gallery.
Duotone only allows a very limited selection of widgets. I believe it’s three, but it may be five.

Currently I use MistyLook. When it gets down to it I want to be able to have my images appear larger on the site. Duotone does this but at the expense it seems of only being able to post one image at a time. Plus it does not seem to be able to hold all the widgets I like. I tried to expand the image size but the fixed width is cutting off the images. Then I tried to edit the CSS but then the header is affected.

Yes that is indeed unfortunate. Its a nice site configuration especially for displaying larger images. I guess there are some trade offs to consider.

Dear timethief:
I have switched over to the Monochrome theme. Its very nice. Though I would like a larger image I really like the look with the black side bars and space for all the widgets. It looks like a custom photographers site. Very nice indeed. Again, thanks.

When I looked at monochrome earlier, I didn’t like it for me but Bob your blog looks really good with that theme. Nice!

Bats and timethief:
Thanks for taking a look. I have had my website for several years and am new to this blogging idea. A lot of my friends and co-workers are keeping up with it now and I have noticed more hits lately. Its making me get out and shoot and think about the content. So far its great fun. Again thanks for all the comments and help!Bob
