  I want to move my WP blog, theme, etc., to my new WP domain name

  Hi there. I’ll need you to be a bit more specific:

  Do you want to 1) switch from one WordPress.com site to another, 2) use a custom domain you own with your WordPress.com site, or 3) move your WordPress.com site to a self-hosted WordPress.org install on your own domain?

  1) See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-between-wordpress-com-blogs You can’t transfer the theme to another site, so you’ll have to manually select the same theme from the theme directory and apply it to the new blog. Staff can move your followers over if you want that. Just let us know.

  2) You need to buy the domain mapping upgrade. See: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  3) Instructions for moving to WordPress.org here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org As WordPress.org is completely separate from WordPress.com you’ll need to find a theme that works for you on the WordPress.org site.
