Switch to Personal-What happens to all linked to domain with wordpress.com?

  Personal: “Boost your website with a custom domain name, and remove all WordPress.com advertising.”

  If I switch my blog from blog.wordpress.com to blog.com, what happens to all the places where people are directed to blog.wordpress.com?

  I have been blogging for ten years so the blog.wordpress.com is all over the place.
